Half-Life, Halo: REACH, Team Fortress 2, Fallout: New Vegas. All of these games are gold but came from a time where you could still distinguish what reality was and wasn't.
and keep in mind that that's just the tip of the iceberg, all the mainstream stuff
there's a lot more games with great gameplay but with graphics that are dated today but adequate or even outstanding for their time (*ahem* my beloved Einhänder + many more)
bad graphics is only an excuse for older titles, games styled after older titles, or indie games. if that game came out and it's on the switch OR it has a major publisher. L game
If it has really nice graphics I will probably like say oh my God I really like these Graphics, but if it's an older game and the graphics aren't as good as I was expecting then I like give it a pass cuz it's old
I personally really like games from the era of the Nintendo 64
Judge me if you will, but that was half my childhood. And even mentioning the N64 is rare for someone around my age.
As a retro gamer, I think graphics are the least important part of the game. If they're cool, wow, they're cool. That's it. It doesn't affect the game other than lag.
