The constitution is for a religious and moral people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other."
John Adams to Massachusetts Militia, 11 October 1798
***1798***

Because of their belief in a separation of church and state, the framers of the Constitution favored a neutral posture toward religion. The members of the Constitutional Convention, the group charged with authoring the Constitution, believed that the government should have no power to influence its citizens toward or away from a religion. The principle of separating church from state was integral to the framers’ understanding of religious freedom. They believed that any governmental intervention in the religious affairs of citizens would necessarily infringe on their religious freedom. Thus, the Constitution maintains a general silence on the subject save for two instances. The first instance, in Article VI, is a proscription of any religious tests as a requisite qualification for public service. The second instance is in the First Amendment of the Bill of Rights.

Conservatives/GOP attempt to rewrite history.. or at least return to 1798's perspective of church over govt. wherein the people are governed by a 'Christian' befief system instead of logic and common sense.

You display a total lack of understanding that the framers didn’t envision a godless nation but simply one that didn’t require certain religious views. This was primarily to offset the catholic vs Protestant strife of Europe.

Adam’s quote stands and has nothing to do with state religion. It displays the foresight that godless and immoral People would twist the constitution against its original intent.

“Hate propaganda” by those that give us chants of Death to Israel and America and wishing Oct 7 be repeated is hilariously hypocritical. The Left iss and always has been the purveyor of hate and murder.

Palestinians are and have always been trerrorists(AMERICAN history tells us this)... unless you're a Muslim or an ungrateful immigrant... and then Israelis are the Terrorists.
You seem very mis-educated and EXTREME in your RIGHT-WING opinion of actual DEMOCRACY in action... sucks when things don't go your way but the LAW IS THE LAW!!! Traitor

Things aren’t really going Gazans and Palestinians way are they? That’s too bad they should have elected leaders who didn’t decide to start a war. Like a typical leftist crybaby they start a war and then cry about war being waged against them. The world is the way it is now because of ignorant petulant leftists who deny reality.

What “law” are you even babbling about? I want no part of your democracy that’s for sure. That’s why I’m glad we live in a democratic republic. Well at least I do I have no idea what country you are in. Your democracy is disguised Marxism and the fallacy of mob rule. Your democracy is two wolves and a sheep voting on who gets eaten for dinner.

No, it isn't, not at all.
In fact, it's going very badly. Very badly.

Thing is, that's not necessarily as good for Israel as a state either, in the long term anyways.

It's already begun, three countries just announced they recognize Palestine as a nation, with more sure to soon follow.

And the nascent divestment movement is growing.

The younger generations aren't caving into the "Yeah, but Hitler" chant.
A certain ilk reducing Hitler to a minor cartoon slag to be casually tossed around on the interwebs sure hasn't helped on that front.

But even aside from that, 80 years after his end, that justification holds even less water than it did before when the support of any politician was easily bought by the country that once had the largest number of foreign lobbyists in the USA. Having a constituency that ain't necessarily always all pepped up on the genocide-for-anybody-else-but front, the term, "Never again" resonates loudly - in a way like it never had before, its irony dissipating like a puff of rust dust in the wind.

Meanwhile, facing a population shrinkage in the future, Israel is so desperate for additional citizens that it's begging for Ethiopian Jews to move there. Doubt they'll be sterilizing them against their will again anytime soon.
They're already rather dependent on Palestinians for cheap labor.

So, yeah, not going good at all. The end of the oppression has just begun.

😂 Arabs took black slaves from Africa and made them Eunuchs to watch over their Harems’ and so they would not reproduce and populate the country with black babies. Arab countries are not diverse in population and non believers are routinely persecuted. The Muslims have been “colonizers” and slave traders for centuries yet you ignore all that and proclaim their virtue. Bullshit.

Gazans claim victimhood after perpetrating the despicable crimes that evoked a response. FAFO. There is no justification for what they did on Oct. 7th despite your attempts at justification for acts against a people you want to treat like Hotler did.

To whom and what meme are you commenting on?

But, yeah, King Solomon just had a crap ton of children running around his 700 wives and 300 concubines just waiting for Maury to find out who the father was, right? And Queen Jezebel getting killed by her own eunuchs was simply a fib told in the Bible simply for the larfs,,,

And Americans and Europeans never took slaves from Africa. Nor Asians. Now I'm not going to refer to the oft told story of how the slave trade in the Colonial Era was controlled by Jewish people - they were just a part of it, not all of it. Probably.

But at least miscegenation was totally legal and segregation wasn't until the 1960s in the USA? Oh, and Canada?

But as you've been told before:
Arabs made slaves of lots of people... Asians, Europeans too, you name it. This information is new to you? How do you think that the Saud family itself got some members with an admixture of African blood in them? Adoption? You forget the racist pejorative hurled at Arabs by a certain contingent?

Oh, and slavery was also in China, Rome (word has it that at one point the number of slaves the Empire outnumbered the number of citizens. Going to have to look up that one for verification). Do you know what Spartan women did with their slaves while the men were away at training for years? Let's just say that despite all the excess culling, they were still very mixed genetically.

The purpose of making someone a eunuch was to in order to prevent then impregnating women of the harem. Slave women were routinely raped, just like they were in the Americas. And Europe. And Africa. And Asia and they were made pregnant, just like they were everywhere. If they converted to Islam, then their children would be set free.

You - and I mean you specifically - had been informed of this last year. By me.
If you're going to bring up stuff that's totally irrelevant, then at least try not resort solely to rote replies. There's plenty of unrelated subjects that you can lob in. Put a little elbow grease into your Red Herrings. Be creative, have fun!

The fact that problems exist in a country we are trying to fix in a dying evil world like the one we live in. It may be fearful and possibly not the Christian way to spread itself, but sometimes the real truth needs to come out in ways including memes.
