I think people were saying that the reason they hated it was it’s a defensive mon as a starter while most starters are offense oriented.

Bayleef is one of my favorite middle stages (probably because Y E L L O W), and chikorita is just cute. I feel like it SHOULD be popular, but I guess people prefer EDGY ANGRY pokemon.
