Watched a lot of the anime at one point when I was 20 or so, and got bored early on in season 3. Got some laughs from it though at least. I've heard Issei was completely changed for the anime, and he's less a pervert in the light novels. Wouldn't know though. Haven't read them lol

Not surprising that happened. Anime tends to do that. Just watched the 2nd season of Goblin Slayer and one of the nastier parts was toned way down from what the manga had.
