My older brothers watched it, so I left the room. Never really watched any of them, so can't say I hate them. Really just don't know the 'stories', yet have no interest. Ha! Gif is still hilarious.
Pretty much every type of Star Trek incarnation dealt with social issues at the time. That's what it's known for. The movies were more action based, due to Star Wars success. Trekkies won't admit it, but Star Wars saved Star Trek.
