Correct! One of the companion characters of the DePatie-Freleng Pink Panther franchise, along with The Inspector, The Ant and the Aardvark, Tijuana Toads, and Crazylegs Crane.

I thought it was "Jabber Jaw" or something like that?

I think it's funny that there were several shark cartoons out. I hadn't noticed. I have no idea which one I watched. Did Mr. Jaw have a German accent? The top hat looks familiar. My brain is getting old and those memories are getting foggy, lol :-)

Right. Misterjaw had a thick German accent, and a sidekick named "Catfish", who (shockingly) was a catfish wearing a bowler and had a Brooklyn accent.

Jabberjaw on the other hand, was a Hanna-Barbera cookie-cutter doofus (See also; Grape Ape, Captain Caveman), and was a drummer in a rock band with three humans.

Misterjaw is often lost to obscurity, like most of the Pink Panther franchise...

I never realized which cartoons were associated with each other. But now that you mentioned it, I remember watching for an hour or so and seeing Pink Panther, Inspector, Aardvark cartoons mixed. I loved the music from the beginning of the Inspector, it had a cool bass sound or something. The Aardvark was so cool... was that actually Jackie Mason? Fun times :-)
