Basically, the same way a muclear bomb works also. A smaller explosion withing the bomb, blows up inside a steel tube shooting a chunk of uranium into a chunk of plutonium causing the atoms to split into more atoms. Then those atoms fly off and hit more atoms causing them to split and fly off hitting more atoms. Repeat....10000 times in 1/10000th of a second.

there's not enough head space, to much powder, firing pin not rounded, there's no feed ramp, the barrel doesn't drop (how ever in very rare instances this doesn't happen), and the bullet doesn't twist at all even though rifling is clearly shown in the barrel.

But all in all yes I think I know how this worked.
