![Well howdy, Trump-cult kids, it's Socialism again and today we're going to look at how you're being weaponized. | Soooo... the latest claim coming out of the more dullardly of you kiddoes is that Colorado Supreme Court Chief Justice Boatright said Girth Vader didn't get due process. Benefit of the doubt -they're probably just repeating what they heard some right-wing talking head spew rather than thinking their way to it themselves -although arriving at a flawed assessment under their own power would be pretty much par for the course... Anyway, what he actually said is "From my perspective, just because a hearing was held and he [Trump] participated, it doesn’t mean that due process was observed." -which is absolutely not the same thing as "Trump didn't get due process."; Now think about that; apparently, in Boatright's opinion, the same procedure which will be employed by the SCOTUS to determine Trump's eligibility if/when the ballot issue lands in their lap isn't sufficient to convince him that due process occurred when it's the CSC 7 hearing the case. And conspicuously, what Justice Boatright didn't say is that the evidence presented was unconvincing, which, taken with his indicated personal misgivings concerning his own ability to render competent judgement, raises some rather significant questions:; Does Justice Boatright deem himself and the rest of the CSC 7 who sat for the case unqualified to hear it? If the only functional difference between a SCOTUS Justice and himself is appointment, between the two courts is titular, why would the CSC 7's ruling not qualify as due process? Is he running partisan rather than impartial? Is he just trying to keep out of the Trump-cult's figurative & literal crosshairs? And then there are the greater implications of what it means if the CSC 7 doing their job, following the same procedure as would the SCOTUS 9 in making a determination doesn't constitute due process; if it doesn't count for one court, it doesn't count for any court -which makes it impossible for anyone to get due process of law in civil litigation, voids every finding the SCOTUS ever handed down. End result: chaos.
