DO WE HAVE AN ELEMENT IN THE CHRISTIAN CHURCH TODAY WHO LIKE TO DEMONSTRATE EXTREME SPIRITUALITY? Yes, some really want to show their charismatic side, and though I am not anti-love and other emotional fruits of a relationship with God, we all have a personal bond with Him. Our "Character of God" series has studies on related topics like the existence and intimacy of God, and those biblical teachings are all about how we can have a personal relationship with the Supreme Being! It still blows me away that, no matter how huge and awesome the Creator of the entire universe is, I can still have a personal relationship with Him. But it's not about a hyped-up experience
where we somehow are not as spiritual as others if we
aren’t regularly demonstrating intense emotion. | image tagged in charismatic, church, god, bible, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DAY 69: CAN YOU BE BLESSED BY YOUR
PASTOR TEACHING BIBLE PROPHECY? [1 of 2] The Bible tells us we will know we’re getting close to the last days when people in the Church will not put up with sound doctrine (biblical teachings). Instead, to suit their own desires, they will hire and listen to those who give them only myths (stories made up) and whatever else they deem pleasant to hear. I would estimate that is about ninety percent today’s American Church. And this
is the reason churches, pastors, Bible study leaders, and
other teachers will not preach on Bible prophecy. The irony is they’re fulfilling Bible prophecy in a bad way, yet they don’t know it because they refuse to study the very thing that warns them against what they are doing. As a shepherd in the Church myself, the questions I have for pastors are these: How can you be a faithful shepherd when skipping nearly a third of the Bible that is prophecy? Are you saying it is not a blessing to the sheep when God tells us it is? Are you smarter
and know more than God? Since you profess to love your
sheep, why keep them from God’s blessing? Is that showing
genuine love and concern for them? | image tagged in bible, prophecy, future, predictions, crystal ball | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DAY 68: WHY DO MORMONS OFTEN HAVE LARGE FAMILIES? The Mormon doctrine that teaches followers to have a lot of children is not from the biblical idea that children are a blessing given by God—or how a husband and wife become one. Instead, with all due respect, Mormons are taught that they must hurry and crank out the linoleum lizards (kids) because their Mormon god and his many goddess wives have a bunch of spirit babies in heaven that are waiting to inhabit a human host baby here on earth. And we can imagine Mormon
leadership telling followers to get moving so those spirit babies
aren’t born into “wicked” households like Pastor Billy’s,
or other non-Mormons—like Christians. That’s why they have so many children, and it blends into their other false teaching of multiple wives. Brigham Young said: “This is the reason why the doctrine of [multiple] wives was revealed, that the noble spirits [i.e., spirit babies] which are waiting for tabernacles [i.e., bodies] might be brought forth.” In other words, they don’t have time to stick with just one bride because their god needs them to crank out the kids like an assembly line. Mormonism teaches that it is every Mormon’s duty to have as many children as possible, as a way of donating bodies for their god’s spirit
babies. Without Mormonism, those spirits will supposedly
never make it back to heaven to be gods themselves. That’s
why Mormons typically have large families. | image tagged in mormon | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHY DO LESS THAN 50% OF CHRISTIANS TRUST THE BIBLE 100%? [4 of 4] Then there's this important fact about the rock solid credibility of the Bible: Scripture was written over a period of 1500 years, through 40 generations, by 40 authors from every walk of life, including kings, peasants, philosophers, fisherman, poets, statesmen, etc. Before getting saved, I used to say the Bible was whipped up by men, but even on his best day, man could never put together something like the Bible. The writers didn't even know each other, so how can critics claim they conspired? The diverse authors of the Bible were from all over the spectrum: Moses, was a political leader; Peter, a Fisherman; Amos, a herdsman; Joshua, a military general; Nehemiah, a cup bearer; Daniel, a prime minister; Luke, a doctor;
Solomon, a King; Matthew, a tax collector; and Paul was a rabbi. Scripture was written in all kind of places: the wilderness, a dungeon, on a hillside, in a palace, from prison, while traveling, by John on the island of Patmos, and during military campaigns. That last one was during war, but some of the Bible was also written in times of peace. So there were many different moods of the authors, from the heights of joy to the depths of despair and sorrow. On top of all that, Scripture was written on three continents (Asia, Africa, and Europe) in three languages (Hebrew, Koine Greek, and a small part was Aramaic). With those aspects of the Bible in mind, here are the mind-blowers: Never once does the Bible contradict itself and it gives the same message throughout the Old and New Testament.
So I'll say it again: Even on their best day, there is NO WAY humans
—without God's direction—could ever whip up something like that. The Bible
is THE one authority for mankind, straight from our Creator! | image tagged in bible, god, christian, scripture, jesus, truth | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WITHIN CHRIST’S CHURCH, ARE WE SUPPOSED TO CALL OUT FALSE TEACHERS BY
NAME? The apostle John said this in 3 John 1:9: “I wrote something to the Church, but Diotrephes, who loves to be first among them, will not accept our instruction.” Some in the Church today like to say, "Hey, you shouldn't call people out by name.” In fact, it is something I have personally gotten flak for, but I always wonder what Bible those accusers are reading. As a shepherd doing so in love for the Church, I like to be blunt, NOT skirting the issue with something like, "Hey Church, there's a really bad guy out there teaching a false, works-based doctrine that is leading people straight to hell, but I can’t warn you about who he is, so you’ll
just have to hopefully discover him for yourselves. Good luck!”; That would be terrible! Out of love, we need to warn others to stay clear of those sorts of people, and do so by name instead of making people guess. Just as Jesus and the Apostle John did, I will be specific and mention names. In the passage above, John has no problem calling out Diotrephes by name, and Jesus did the same in Matthew 23, where the whole chapter is Jesus using harsh language to publicly berating the Pharisees. Paul does the same with Hymenaeus and Alexander when he called them out by name. The idea that we should not lovingly warn others by pinpointing specific
people is a lie perpetrated by false teachers. It is their way
to try silencing biblical Christians so the rats can continue
spreading cancer through the Christ’s Church. | image tagged in bible, god, jesus, church, christian | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
