Acts 13:22
King James Version
22 And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave their testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after mine own heart, which shall fulfil all my will.
Indeed not, but to know how vile one is, one must be able to see one's transgressions as a whole and understand their roots & the depth there of. That's partially why "vile wretch" is applied to the Christian. When I was an atheist, I knew I wasn't the greatest person but I did not see things for how I see them now. In order to be saved one must believe somewhat deep down that Jesus Christ is the One True King that came in the flesh as God, died on the cross for the remission of our sins & rose on the third day. If one has that much faith as I did, then they might have faith enough to ask Him into their hearts as their Lord & Savior (sinners prayer). I was incarcerated in 2013 when a pastor came to me and he was kind of pushy with the matter. One guy said no, he wanted his family present & was dead scared it seemed. I went ahead & said the prayer.... the following days I felt as a newborn, all of a sudden I felt guilty for things I had never felt guilty about before... as if my legs had been taken out from underneath me, I was crawling as a baby spiritually. Then I understood that this was my birth as scripture had spoke of. It's a long story... many testimonies.
