We didn't get anything cheaper because of China. The price of TVs and tech came down because that's what happens after it's been out a while. Polo and other high end brands are/were made in China, while Gildan was (until like 7-8 years ago) was made in the U.S. The store that has thee most products made in America? THE DOLLAR TREE. They showed a savings in labor on the spread-sheets and so rose their stock-prices so certain individuals would get huge quarterly and yearly bonuses all those years ago. That was it. That's what we were sold out for. Somebody that made 5-50 million a year because they did blow with the right corporate officers made 10-100 million one or two years instead; that was it. Oh, and some fat greasy rich guys from the West got to enjoy 13 year old Chinese prostitutes. We also got sold out and ruined for THAT. I knew a high level sales rep that confirmed the underage prostitute bit.
That does happen. The % of people celebrating Hanukkah should also be included in advertising and general representation. I would guess less than 2%, but that's a guess.
Well you wouldn't know by the celebration of Christmas. When talking about Christmas, and selling things to people because they give gifts on Christmas, they should mention Christmas. That is the reason they are selling things. Also, be careful what you wish for. I'm not currently even in a Church, but I'm starting to think it's not such a bad idea. The media being "the king of kings" isn't working out for us.
