He has been a street fighter since he was 15.
he chose this life because when he was born, his father left for other women, at the age of 13 his mother fell deeply ill, when he turned 14 he started looking for jobs and worked at a convenience store, money was tight, and paying for mothers meds were difficult, one day, at the age of 15, as he was walking home, he found a poster about an illegal underground street fighting tournament, rules were simple, win the tournament, earn $5k for each tournament won, that night Otis snuck out and signed up.
Otis would sneak out every night to fight one match and move up a slot on the board, Otis had fought what seemed to be hundreds of opponents bigger, smaller, stronger, or weaker than him.
one night, April 16, his birthday, and his final match to winning the tournament, things where looking bad for Otis, he was beaten, bruised, and broken to the point of crying, but Otis kept getting back up, and his opponent approached and delivered a deadly right hook to Otis aimed directly at the ribs forcing him into the corner, Otis was pinned and his opponent slam several punches to the gut, Otis couldn't take it anymore, he analyzed his opponents punches, and as his opponent drew back for another punch Otis lunged forward with a punch to the ribs, his opponent stumbled back then wrapt his arm over the back of otis's back neck and slammed his fist down on his back, Otis retaliated with several punches to the ribs forcing him free, his opponent lunge swinging, throwing, and slamming punches, Otis dodges left, weaved right, ducked under a deadly hook kick the back of his opponents right legs as his opponent falls to one knee, he uses his right arm to elbow the back of his opponents head, then winds up and slams a brutal punch to his opponents face, knocking his opponent out.
he won, Otis won the tournament, he got his $5k bonus, and pair of black and gold MMA gloves, that night he ran home, no matter his injuries, as he got him and opened the door, he froze, eyes wide, heart pounding and stopped for a second, what he saw, was his mother, lying motionless on the floor, holding a small birthday gift.
Otis felt sick, he dropped everything and fell to his knees, hands shaking as he held his mother's lifeless form, crying.
