The FBI defines domestic terrorism as “ Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature.”......but go ahead and explain the difference to the family of the cop who was killed doing his job. Sure they’d care about getting into semantics
In this instance, they’re one in the same. They stormed the US Capitol, a representation of our democracy, in an attempt to change the results of an election. That IS domestic terrorism.
I made this because I've seen more people post on social media about the looting than they have posted about George Floyd's murder. It just blows my mind. Please don't pretend to care about these businesses that you have no direct affiliation with!!! Money is not the issue here. It's systemic racism and our society continuously turning a blind eye to what's happening to POC. They have every right to be mad and lash out at their continuous oppression. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!! Looting and rioting doesn’t just happen. Have you ever been so mad you want to break something??? Well that’s what it looks like.
