Not necessarily, considering that the basis of most monotheistic religions not based off of nature worship work off of improving moral and ethical bases to improve life as it is (disregarding whether or not the religion is true for the sake of discussion), and the saviorship figure not based on owing anything to a figure of power and just promising you'll work to improve as a result of accepting truths, it is much less about going to "heaven" than it is actually making life better in this mortal coil, which hopefully, religious or not, is something everyone should strive to do.
