it was not codeine, it was dextromorphan. dextromorphan is a non competitive nmda receptor agonist, which blocks certain brain channels, causing changes in perception and feeling but is much less potent than codeine or some sort of opiate. also almost every dxm overdose happened when it was mixed with alcohol. I never used any alcohol with dxm. I also know what doses are safe, how long they last, and what to do if they get out of control.

I've taken dxm excessively twice. you don't become retarded from trying a substance. I have issues I admit that. What I do isn't good for me and I don't think its cool. but I'd say I've stayed in a pretty levelheaded zone of drugs. I've never done anything that designed only for recreation suchas methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA), any sort of serotonin receptor hallucinogenic (dmt, psilocybin, or bufetonin) or any sort of opiate or drug used at parties. I've done 12 benadyls at one, 20 20 mg dextromorphan (most I've had at once) cyclobenzaprine a few times, and gabapentin.
