The Confederates were a lot more Liberal (classical liberal) than the Union. They were very big on stuff like free speech, gun rights, protection from searches and seizures, and individual rights. And yes. This only applied to Whites, Mexicans, and East Asians. The free Blacks were treated very poorly, and the slaves were... slaves.

No they're not. Fascists want centralized government control of suppression. The Confederates wanted a decentralized government and freedom to do anything that didn't harm anybody. They would never accept the way the Nazis suppress their population. They'd be huge enemies.
Nowhere in the first article did Hamas "admit to using human shields". Hamas gave Gazans orders to not evacuate like how Israel ordered. Why, you may ask. It's because Israel targeted evacuating civilians with bombings. The less you're seen and exposed, the safer you are, because IDF will want to kill you regardless of your civilian status.
Besides, Hamas never strapped a child to a truck and drove around using a literal human shield.
