you're talking about Macros vs Micros, and they ultimately come out to the same thing. I went from 210 to 180 just keeping my overall calorie count down to about 1200-1300. When i hit 180, I hovered around 2k a day. It works that way. Healthier food tends to have lower calorie count, so you can eat more. Where as a big mac combo has close to 2k calories, so that is all you are allowed. Healthy food is better, but if you burn all of your calories in one sitting, and ACTUALLY stick to the count, you will still lose weight
