[1 of 2] So many times in the Bible, God tells us to stay away from the occult practices that are glamorized by Hollywood and ignored by most in the Church, including those who go online to comment that we Christians don't need to learn about such evil. But that advocates burying our heads in the sand, which helps no one and only facilitates the continued demonic consequences for unsuspecting men, women, and children. Warnings against occult practices like witchcraft are all over the Bible because they are ABHORRENT to God. The reality of where it leads, to evils like demon connections and human sacrifice, should be disturbing and serious enough for Christians, that it prompts us to deal with it in a biblical way. First, the witches were tried in court during this Christian Age ruled by our New Testament, a New Covenant of grace. Those meting out the punishment for the convicted witches were applying the Old Testament standard that has not been applicable for this past two thousand years of the Christian Church Age. Persecutors of witches during that time of unchristian sentencing in the courts were jumping back to Old Testament directives like those in Exodus 22 and Leviticus 20:"Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live,” and "A man or woman that hath a familiar spirit [demon,] or that is a wizard, shall surely be put to death: they shall stone them with stones: their blood shall be upon them.”; So, the people in that day cited Bible verses like those as the reason to give the death penalty to some of the convicted witches. But, if that were the true way to handle it, then why does Acts 19 show Paul not doing the same when he was ministering to Ephesus with new Christians that had been witches and other occultists? Those people burned their expensive witchcraft books and confessed their sinful deeds. Instead of stoning them as required in the Old Testament, Paul welcomed them when they confessed and repented of their sins. Why? Because today and throughout the New Covenant under the New Testament, we don't kill witches. Like Jesus would, we witness to them. That does not mean we

[2 or 3] While secular society is heavily promoting every aspect of witchcraft and other occult practices, the Church remains silent, allowing it to rise quickly. God called this out 2000 years ago with Paul's excellent instructions for young Pastor Timothy in 2 Timothy 4:1-5:"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the word..." Is Paul telling Timothy to pick and choose whatever he’d like from God's Word? No! And besides chopping out prophecy, Churches today have also stopped talking about sin, hell, and repentance. Pretty soon the only topics left have to do with the biblical table of weights and measures. Is that what Paul is suggesting young Timothy should preach about? No! Paul said to preach the Word, which means all of it and not just what people might like! Paul continues:"Preach the word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage..." According to that, it looks like two thirds of the time should be correcting and rebuking. The people should be squirming in their seats as they are corrected and rebuked by God's Word in the Bible. If you're at a Church where you never feel corrected or rebuked, someone is not teaching the Bible. Think about that. [1 of 3] I think their are two aspects driving this in our world today: First, we see massive promotion of Wicca witchcraft. When we were growing up, if you wanted to learn something about the dark arts, there was no Internet. They didn't promote it like they do now on television and in much of our media. People would have to go into a dark back alley to contact some seedy character in a dingy bookstore. That was the average occultist hangout back in the day. Or someone might introduce you to their secret stash of occult material kept hidden at their house. But now it’s everywhere, being promoted on a scale that just blows me away! But that's only half the reason it is increasing on a massive scale. The other is because those in the Church today are keeping their mouths shut, which allows Wicca to rise with almost no hindrance. And those ignoring the issue are fulfilling Bible prophecy about these last days. So, there is a huge worldwide promotion of witchcraft these days, while the Christian Church is absent from the battle against these occult practices. Instead of equipping us on this crucial issue that God repeatedly warns us about, Churches are busy playing funny reindeer games for their audience; just keeping the show going. Churches have paying people attending but because “shepherds” are not teaching from God's Word, they have to give the people something. That is why they only preach a feel-good,
