![HOW DOES HINDUISM COMPARE TO CHRISTIANITY? [1 OF 3] All faiths except biblical Christianity are works-based because people want to FEEL more spiritual by doing anything religious. So religions like Hinduism take advantage of that mindset by having their followers perform rituals to supposedly appease the 300 million Hindu gods (demons). Man’s need for religiosity allows religions to control people, just as Hindu priests did in early Hinduism, growing in power by holding follower's escape from “Karma" over their heads. Karma is the endless loop of us supposedly living one life after another (their false teaching of reincarnation). And that same works-based dynamic is taught across the planet through world religions and cults. Outside Bible Christianity, the other faiths hold the afterlife over devotees' heads to push them toward the organization's goals. Around 600 B.C. the Hindu people revolted against the priests’ control, changing Hinduism to a more individual-focused faith with personal meditation, pursuing an altered state of consciousness to connect with the Hindu gods (demons), as a means to supposedly escape reincarnation. Some still want a guru to tell them how to be most religious. Meditation was NOT invented as a way to reduce stress. finding Grace and help from Him in our time of need. Isn't that mind blowing!? To me those words feel like they are coming off the pages. John is amazed at the thought that we Christians are actually CHILDREN of GOD. Can you believe that—after all the bad things we've done?! Romans 5 talks about how, as ungodly sinners (before getting saved), we hated God. And God certainly didn't need us. But He still chose to die for us so that we can become what we are today: His actual children, Christians. And it's all free. There's no priest to go through and no techniques to perform because it's all been taken care of. Even with the huge differences we saw in Christianity verses Hinduism (just like all the other works-based faiths), we often hear this sort of unresearched statement: “All religions mostly teach the same stuff." No! That's a lie! Christianity is absolutely unique and is the only way. But still to this day, in his depravity, Satan has invented; a myriad of false paths to confuse people away from Jesus. And the devil does so out of pure evil, wanting all he can dupe to join him in the Lake of Fire. Satan knows he's lost. He's was a loser when Jesus beat him on the cross. But Satan has teamed up with humans (who seek power and money), to deceive people all the way into an eternity in hell. The alternative is to accept the free gift of salvation given to us by Jesus' work on the cross. Those present at the time described absolute chaos with all in attendance wanting to preach, and most everyone did. Nobody stopped to ask for a testimony to even see if the speakers were saved. Even some local witches and sorcerers preached. Seymour realized who they were and stopped them from preaching but they continued to attend and practice their weird worship during the service. Also weird for a Church service, were reports of kissing between unmarried persons. Seymour had no biblical education because his teacher, Parham, had little, just as Parham's teachers, Dowie and Sandford, had little to none. Besides them, the New Thought founder and root of the Word of Faith movement, Phineas Qimby had none, which meant his trainees, Mary Baker Eddy (Christian Science founder) and Warren Felt Evans, were also lacking biblical training. On top of that and going forward, Aimee Semple McPherson, who most all Pentecostal and Word of Faith denominations come from, also lacked a biblical education. When you trace the history of the Word of Faith movement, here's the result of all those people: WOF was basically founded by biblically-UNTRAINED leaders who were not in the Bible and instead learned from PAGANS AND CULTS. Still, even with that non-biblical foundation, today they not only claim to be spiritual, but even more spiritual than other Christians, who they say are missing out on their teachings. Besides the false teachings, in this way they create still more division in the Church. Why do they do so? It's because they’re pushing false teachings that most don’t realize are actually just repackaged Hinduism. [4 of 4] Here are a few examples of what Word of Faith preachers are saying that is just Hinduism and not biblical: Jesse Duplantis: "The very first thing on Jesus' agenda was to get rid of poverty.” Excuse me?! Jesus said His priority was to destroy the works of the devil and to save us from sin. Frederick Price: "The apostles were businessmen. They were rich men that had plenty of money… Only rich people could take off for three and a half years… That's the reason why I drive a Rolls Royce. I'm following Jesus’ steps.”; But the Bible says, "In their greed these teachers will exploit you with stories made up." Creflo Dollar: "I'm telling you, Jesus wasn't poor, and… Jesus didn't have no rags on. He wore designer clothes, honey!” Robert Tilton: "The only time people were poor in the Bible is when they were under a curse... Being poor is a sin.” But the Bible says this about Jesus giving up everything to come to earth as a poor man: “Though Jesus was rich, yet for your sake he became poor…” Just like Word of Faith preachers, there is another group of religious leaders who also live a lavish lifestyle, while teaching those who sent them all that money, that they too can become wealthy if they'd only practice the right force of faith with their words.
