Also, I'm surprised how well the colored sprite turned out. | THIS IS A TUTORIAL TO HOW I GOT THE SPRITES FOR THE CLOBER COMIC THING (I'M DOING THIS MAINLY FOR SYSTEM, BUT I FIGURED I'D SHARE WITH THE CLASS); STEP 1: CHOOSE YOUR CHARACTER
1.5: CHANGE THE TEXTBOX SIZE TO SMALL
(BECAUSE IT'S A 1-TO-1 PIXEL RATIO); FOR COMPARISON, THE DEFAULT SIZE:; AND THE SMALL SIZE:; STEP 2: DOWNLOAD THE TEXTBOX, THEN CROP IT TO A SQUARE AROUND THE SPRITES; LEAVE A LITTLE ROOM AROUND THE SPRITE; STEP 3: UPLOAD TO PISKEL (OR YOUR PREFERRED PIXEL ART APP/SITE); VOILA! NOW, SOME SPRITES MIGHT BE OKAY AND YOU CAN TAKE AWAY THE BLACK NOW, BUT SOME (LIKE THIS CHARACTER) HAVE BLACK PARTS EXPOSED TO THE OUTSIDE, SO THIS HAPPENS:; SO WHAT I DO IS USE A COLOR THAT'S NOT ON THE SPRITE (LIKE BLUE) TO PLUG UP ANY OF THE BLACK BITS THAT ARE A PART OF THE SPRITE. YOU DON'T HAVE TO DO THE WHOLE THING, JUST ENOUGH SO THAT THE PAINT BUCKET DOESN'T DETECT IT. THEN TURN THE BLUE BITS BACK TO BLACK, AND EXPORT IT AT X5 QUALITY.
ALTERNATIVELY, YOU COULD NOW MESS WITH THE SPRITE TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT (EG. MAKE NEW EXPRESSIONS OR COLOR IT); AND NOW YOU HAVE HIGH-QUALITY SPRITES WITH TRANSPARENT BACKGROUNDS! | image tagged in undertale,tutorial,this was long lol,why are you reading the tags | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
