ANY CAT CAN SWITCH BETWEEN HEALER, HUNTER, OR FIGHTER AT ANY TIME, BUT THEY MUST PASS A TEST TO TEST THEIR SKILLS AS THE RANK THEY WISH TO SWITCH TO. TO BECOME LEADER, YOU HAVE TO BE TAKEN AS THE LEADER'S APPRENTICE WHEN YOU REACH SIX MOONS OLD. USUALLY, THE APPRENTICES AND THEIR MENTORS ARE CHOSEN BY THE SEER OF THE CLAN. THERE IS ALSO THE WATCHER, THE CAT CHOSEN BY STARSHINE TO KEEP SPIRITUAL TIES. THEY ARE NOT GIVEN A CHOICE WHETHER OR NOT TO BECOME THE WATCHER, FOR IT IS COMPLETELY DECIDED BY FATE. THE THREE CLANS MOSTLY KEEP TO THEMSELVES AND STAY IN THEIR TERRITORY.
