DAY 75: SINCE GOD IS GOOD AND LOVING, WHY DID HE CREATE SATAN? The answer is that Satan started out as one of God’s magnificent, created angels that was actually put at the lofty level of an angelic cherub. But Scripture describes how he used the free will God gave him to became the first being responsible for the first sin. So, God did not create the one now known as Satan. Instead, our Lord fashioned a
beautiful cherub angel that made the decision to sin. Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28 inform us about the fall of Satan, originally a beautiful and blameless creature in all his splendor, until wickedness
was found—in—him. Satan is the one responsible for evil. God created a wonderful angel, gave him free choice, and with it that angel selfishly chose to
become the wicked Satan, who was motivated by his desire
to more greatly exalt himself. The spread of his decision to
sin is what we must deal with still today. | image tagged in satan, bible, god, devil, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DAY 74: DOES LUCIFER REALLY MEAN SATAN Here’s something you may not know: “lucifer,” which we equate with “Satan,” does appear in some Bible translations and I have no problem with that. In fact, we can see lucifer in Isaiah 14, which talks about the fall of Satan, and Ezekiel 28, which mentions wickedness being found in him, but “lucifer” is actually NOT a proper name, (though we normally capitalize it since the word is commonly used as a proper name for Satan). It’s a Latin word (derived from the Hebrew word) meaning “morning star.” The actual Latin word is luciferum. The translators of the Bible’s King James Version didn’t know what the Hebrew word meant so they literally transliterated the Latin word “lucifer,” or “luciferum,” or “morning star,” to lucifer. I don't bring that up to get into some tit for tat, but only to point out Mormonism’s claim that Lucifer is supposedly the brother of Jesus, and that both were born of physical, sexual relations between God (which can’t be because God is a spirit) and one of His “wives,” which makes no sense on many levels, including their use of “lucifer” for the devil’s name when it is not even a proper name. So, it can’t be a real character in their story of a supposed family squabble between Jesus and “Lucifer.” I am only picking this apart a bit because Mormonism claims their gospel is better than the Christian gospel and promises us that theirs was also inspired of God. But
with all due respect, how can it be from God if their whole story
is based on a completely flawed use of the word? | image tagged in lucifer, satan, jesus, god | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
