WHAT IS ORTHODOX JUDAISM? [2 of 5] Orthodox Judaism encompasses both the academic-focused Modern Orthodox, as well as Hasidim Orthodox, the latter being the more mystical practice. Hasidic Jews are the men you see wearing skull caps and black or dark-gray suits. These Jewish mystics exhibit similar spiritual behaviors to those in the Charismatic movement that is a part of the modern, American, Christian Church. Mystical Judaism today is called Kabbalah, and the highly influential singer Madonna is one its major followers and promoters. The roots of Kabbalah’s mystic practices developed between the 500s
and 1300s AD, among late-Babylonian, Italian, French, and Spanish
Jews. Kabbalah means "to receive," meaning the followers claim
to receive ongoing, higher, better, and newer revelations from God—; —just as today’s Charismatic community claims. Earlier in Judaism, Kabbalah was mainstream, but then later came to be the practice of only a few “special” Jews who God exclusively blesses with some supposed “true meanings” of Scripture—they get so-called secret knowledge. Because God singled them out to receive His “real truth,” how dare we question them? And doesn’t that sound similar to the attitude of Roman Catholicism, where followers are taught to refrain from interpreting the Bible for themselves—that’s reserved for the learned Catholic priests. Only they possess the unique “specially given ability” to understand and interpret Scripture. The
same sort of claim comes from Kabbalah leadership who run
a cult organization performing occult practices. | image tagged in orthodox, hasidic, jew, judaism, god, bible | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT IS ORTHODOX JUDAISM? [1 of 5] Of the Jewish religion’s three main branches that also include Reform and Conservative, Orthodox Judaism is the traditional practice that strictly follows the laws and ethics in the Talmud, or the Oral Law, which has been laid down by history’s Jewish leaders—rabbi’s—just men. So, Judaism is a system that focuses on following the traditions imposed by men, and not on the Word of God given to us in the Old and New Testaments. An Orthodox Jew generally adheres to the thirteen articles of faith and 613 mitzvahs (commandments). To be considered an Orthodox Jew, there are core practices that must be performed and acts to refrain from. The latter involve prohibitions against murder, idolatry, certain
sexual practices, and many, many, many, many, many other things. Those in this Orthodox system are also plagued by a similar mentality to Christians who think they are a bound for heaven because they “mostly” obey the Ten Commandments, or because they are at least better than another person of their choosing, maybe “granting themselves” eternity in heaven just because they haven't killed anyone. This is the same misconception as an Orthodox Jew who believes they can work their own way to heaven. Orthodox Jews face a mountain of needed works, just a few of which are refraining from activities that violate the Jewish Sabbath and holidays, performing the required circumcision of males,
and keeping dietary and family-purity laws, like only marrying
someone that is also involved with the Jewish faith. | image tagged in orthodox, judaism, god, reform, conservative, jew | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DID GOD CREATE SOME DEFAULT LAW THAT GRANTS
ENTRANCE INTO HEAVEN FOR “RELATIVELY GOOD” SINNERS? As a pastor who travels frequently throughout America and also to many nations around the world, (for conferences, interviews, and other public speaking), I talk with a diverse population. One common, misinformed, and alarming misconception is presented to me by people everywhere, and it is because they do not investigate this monumentally important claim that has them clinging to a completely false hope: Men and women all around the planet rely on their ticket to a pleasant eternity being their status a “relatively good person,” or “fairly good person." But that doesn't make you a Christian. Contrary to
that tragic delusion, Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father [God in heaven] except through Me.” We have all broken God's law, whether it's lying, stealing, lusting, practicing idolatry by loving things or people more than God, breaking other commandments, or all of the above. Just one of those sins against our Creator is the constant self-focused idol worship of our modern society. According to God’s Word in the Bible, anything can become our idol, including money, possessions, television, other entertainment, a hobby, another person, or even
ourselves. When we get preoccupied with something to point where
that obsession is more important than our relationship with God,
it is idol worship. We’ve all done that, besides the fact that we
have all lied—claim you haven’t and you just lied again. | image tagged in works, christian, sin, god, bible, jesus | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

WHAT IS THE TAOIST (OR, DAOIST) BRANCH OF BUDDHISM ALL ABOUT? [6 of 6] In God’s creation, there is no Taoist-type balance between good and evil. First Peter 5:8 says the devil is like a lion that wonders around roaring. And Colossians 2:15 explains that Jesus whooped lion-like Lucifer when Christ died on the cross to glorify God and save all creation. One of my seminary instructors gave a perfect, biblical description of modern-day Satan, since he was wrecked by Jesus: He said, though the devil can still cause serious harm on earth, he is a defanged lion; Christ easily crushed his claim on our world. So, for today’s Christians, Lucifer is like a starving, declawed, toothless lion, dragging around his emaciated little body, trying to frighten people into doing what he says, but only managing to loudly smack his gums.
What reaction would you have if you saw that coming at you? Would you run, or would you tell that rat-headed liar to scram. Non-Christians face the same old lethal devil, but we who have the authority of Christ’s name wield His power over all evil. Bringing that back to the teachings of Taoism, a Christian’s wonderful life and amazing eternal future—spent with the Creator of the universe—is not what Taoists have; instead, their yin-and-yang mentality (“the force” in Star Wars) has them equating evil with God—which is ludicrous. Still, unfortunate people around the world (now including vast numbers of Westerners and even Christians) have accepted the Buddhist, Taoist, Star Wars mindset. Today, all those people are living a life of running scared, even though God has assured us of these facts: "I am God. Beside me, there is no other,” and “Greater is He [the Holy Spirit, or Spirit of Christ] that is in you [Christians]
than he [the evil spirit of the Antichrist] that is in this world.”
Praise God that we Christians never need to run scared! | image tagged in taoism, daoism, buddhism, god, devil, bible | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

Other practices rooted in Taoism (or, Daoism) are martial arts like “tai chi,” where “chi” is basically “the force” talked about in Star Wars. It is a belief in the Taoist “yin and yang,” which claims our universe is balanced between good and evil. The yin-and-yang symbol is a circle with a line inside that curves like the stitching on a baseball. The two areas are colored light and dark, and the entire symbol is a Taoist philosophical representation of the universe’s supposed opposing forces. Taking this Taoist idea back to the mindset presented in the Star Wars films, the movies portray what seems to be opposing dark and light sides of the “Force,” but Taoism and the Star Wars films really teach that the opposite
forces are interconnected and interdependent on each other, actually combining to keep the universe in balance by canceling each other out. That is the false Taoist message that has its followers believe the black (dark, or evil) side of the yin-and-yang symbol can’t exist without white (light, or good), like cold not being able to exist without heat. Chinese culture has taken this belief so far that this yin-and-yang concept is foundational to many branches of classical Chinese science and medicine. And again, many forms Chinese exercises (like tai-chi martial arts) present this idea of needing to equalize the flow of the universe. But the yin-and-yang principle of Taoism is directly contradictory to biblical Christianity,
where God is good and has existed without evil—good can
exist without evil—while evil must have a comparison to good
so that there is a way to demonstrate that it is evil. | image tagged in taoism, daoism, buddhism, god, evil, star wars | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
