HAVE YOU PUT IN THE TIME TO BECOME A DEFENDER OF YOUR FAITH? Some Christians incorrectly claim, “You just have to accept it on faith.” That is true, but incomplete. Along with that trust, God commanded us to be prepared to give a defense, in gentleness and respect, for the hope we possess. As a previous unbeliever, but seeker of the truth, my dislike of Christians was in part from this seemingly-dismissive statement that I should just believe without any evidence. To not frustrate seekers, but be a blessing instead, our study, “Defenders of the Faith: Intro to Apologetics,” equips Christians with
the answers to many skeptical questions we get from those looking
for the truth, including many mentally trapped in false beliefs. | image tagged in god, bible, truth, jesus, christian, knowledge | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

IS SCIENTOLOGY A WACKY PAGAN CULT? According to L. Ron Hubbard, a fiction writer and founder of Scientology, humans were seeded onto earth by "General Xenu" of the "Galactic Federation.” Though Hubbard had previously aspired to make a religion because he knew it would mean a lot of money for himself, he also claimed the Xenu account to be true history and not one of his thousands of fictional stories. Though a decent science fiction writer (much of his content was created while on drugs and alcohol), Hubbard practiced witchcraft and was certainly no friend of the truth. Understand the deception of Scientology with our study,

WHO MADE GOD? Besides biblical and eye-witness proof of God’s existence, there is the natural and scientific "Cosmological Argument” (Argument of Beginnings), which says there had to be a beginning of everything we see. No matter how far back you want to go, there has to have been a first cause of us being here now. That beginning of our time and the revealing of the one true God is also given by God in the very first verse of the Bible: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Breaking that down: In the beginning God created all time, space (the heavens), and matter (the earth). However, being self-existent, God is in the realm of eternity where he also exists outside our time. God created a beginning of our time for us to be in and there will be an end to it. So, we now live in our own realm of time, given to us by God.
Being above and beyond all that, God can see the beginning and end of our time.
That's what makes Him the One and ONLY Supreme Being. And it’s why God’s Word in the Bible had already accurately predicted a couple thousand events in our history—before they happened for us! Even with that proof, we hear, "Well, then who made God?” But that question is time based. By definition, a Supreme Being is above and beyond all that. And what makes Him supreme is He's not dependent upon anyone for His existence. Can we become Gods, as Mormonism, Hinduism, and New Age claim? No, because the one true supreme God has no beginning. When Moses asked God: “Who do I say that You are?“ God replied, simply: "I Am Who I Am." He doesn't have a beginning because beginnings are a time-based question and He's above and beyond all that. How can false belief systems claim humans can become God, the Supreme Being, who by definition has
no beginning. Yet, every person on our planet, including the advocates who
falsely teach that all of us can become Gods, celebrate a birthday,
a beginning in our span of time created by the one true God. | image tagged in god, bible, hindu, mormon, new age, universe | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

DOES GOD THE FATHER HAVE FLESH & BONES, AS THE MORMONS TEACH? NO! In John 4:24, Jesus told us: "God is spirit, and those who worship Him must worship Him in Spirit and truth.” God the Father is spirit. He has no body. Yet Mormons invariably site Bible passages like the one where God produces the Ten Commandments with the "finger" of God. Of course that is just an anthropomorphism, with God using our language to explain who He is. And what about Psalm 91:4, which says, "God will cover you with His feathers; under His wings you will find refuge." Does that mean God is a giant space-chicken?! It’s not meant literally, just as God isn’t a huge writing finger. People often use anthropomorphisms. One time my wife said something that really would have scared and freaked me out if she meant it literally: When our daughter Rebecca was a little crumb-snatcher, just a tiny baby, my wife bundled her in a blanket. I heard her say she wrapped Rebecca up like a burrito. So, I thought she was going to eat our little one!! But, of course, it was just a phrase women use, though it seems like a torture technique to me. Still, moms like it. All attempts to prove God has a body, fail. It's not even logical. Besides, I’ll believe Jesus. He’s always right. The lie of God having a supposed
physical body is just another example of how Mormonism rips
Bible verses out of their context to support false teachings. | image tagged in bible, god, jesus, christian, mormon, cult | made w/ Imgflip meme maker
