Update: explaining my announcement template design. | SOME PEOPLE THINK MY UPDATE TEMPLATE IS UGLY AND HAS TOO MUCH GOING ON (TOO MANY FLAGS, TOO MANY COLORS, THE PICREW, ETC.) AND I FELT LIKE EXPLAINING. MY ANNOUNCEMENT TEMPLATE DESIGN IS BASED ON 90S & EARLY 2000S WEBSITES.
WEBSITES OFTEN HAD TEXT IN MANY COLORS AND THE INTERNET WASN'T A MINIMALISTIC PLACE. THE MORE CLEAN MINIMALISTIC DESIGN OF WEBSITES DIDN'T GET POPULAR UNTIL THE 2010S. I TOOK THAT RETRO INTERNET DESIGN
INSPIRATION AND MADE SOMETHING THAT I FEEL PROPERLY REPRESENTS MYSELF. THE COLORFUL CLUNKINESS IS ON PURPOSE.
