Eternal Is Bipartite Temporal Is Tripartite | We affirm man is spiritually dead yes but NOT man's soul! There's truth in bipartite in that it pertains to the eternal realm NOT the temporal realm! That's tripartite which is body, soul & spirit. The oneness with God died at the Fall but God left attributes in them like emotions, logic, creativity, conscience, a moral compass etc that can make choices, see evidence of God, feel remorse, guilt, love etc & God left this in man as a whole in the eternal realm where only He can work. Total depravity means we're riddled with sin in our entirety but total inability IS NOT the same thing! We will be fully bipartite again once we're glorified but because He allowed man to have a free will to exercise it made the choice to do evil possible & man did. This separation though is vital for man to have a true personhood where they can give true love, service etc from their true hearts & in combination with His foreknowledge & middle knowledge; & ability to predestine He knew He could have the full embodiment of what He wanted. Not just a physical subject/child but a subject & child with a core personhood that He alone knows entirely so it could be a relationship. god predestines certain circumstances so our choices, Satan's temptations & other's sin against us couldn't go too far which would overburden the soul to the point that salvation couldn't happen or after conversion that our personal spirit back into union with the soul couldn't bear; spiritually. He ALONE knows what we each can & can't bear. if we're brought to it we can bear it! Bipartite is true but it's eternal. Those who perish will lose their souls & THEN the soul will be totally dead with the spirit NOT within their temporal life. Man fails NOT Jesus! Sin was atoned for so limited atonement is obsolete but individual people MUST receive Him by choice. He is NO LESS SOVEREIGN will this allowance decree. Hey Piper, where's limited atonement, irresistible grace, evanescent grace & the other asinine crap you preach? He is just as sovereign by allowance decree as He is by action decree | God does glorify Jesus by His allowance for man's choice to sin and allowing Satan and demons to do evil but He DID NOT do anything by a decree of action & bend man's will to only be able to sin then glorify Christ like the way 5 point Calvinism teaches. He is as holy, loving, merciful, just, gracious & righteous as He is sovereign & would NEVER do that what these guys & many others dead & alive say/said He does! God is not a narcissist like many of them are/were. 5 POINT; God allows abuse and brings beauty from ashes if we will let Him. I have personally had much sexual abuse as well originating from my dad starting at under 2 yrs old & some occult related kind at age 6 & God has done much healing, good & brought much beauty but He DID NOT orchestrate it! That is utter blasphemy & all because they don't understand how He remains sovereign by allowance decree.
