No, it's in reference to the refugees getting free medical. I'm the last person who would be mocking veterans.

Any "free medical" refugees get (once they reach the USA, after 6-24 months in refugee camps with mostly only emergency and catastrophic care) is much more redtape and lesser care than vets get.

No downplaying it, refugees get 8 months of limited medical care, after that it's up to charity orgs to help them.

Where are you getting your figures, because we've accepted much more than that. Try closer to 200,000. And most of them are not children. That's a lie the Obama administration wants you to believe, along with the liberal media.

ISIS themselves stated they would infiltrate the refugees and pose as refugees to gain access into other countries, like the United States. Why would we just allow them to enter, especially with no vetting system? That's insane and extremely stupid.

We have thousands of homeless veterans who have served in the United States military who have no jobs, barely any medical, no help. And homeless civilians who can't even eat. And you think we should allow "refugees" into the country? No.

Admittedly I was talking about Syrian refugees, and your "ISIS" (Daesh) stuff implies you are also... are you talking about some other nationality? No matter the nationality, however, most of them are children-- it's fact, not really debateable, especially when your evidence for your claim that it is false is "because". It is also fact that fewer than 3000 Syrian refugees have come here so far and the number the government plans on this year is about 10,000.

Your last paragraph is basically fallacy known as "black or white"-- you assume we cannot help homeless veterans and refugees at the same time, when actually we can.

I love this!... But I'll give my own veteran's view... A veteran doesn't ask for help very well... I go to a shrink once a month means that I'm doing what I can to become "normal" again but that took awhile... To those veterans in "limbo" all I can say is hang in there... Yet I know that means little when they're going through what they're going through

Yes, I got out of the Corps literally months before the first Gulf War started. And I know what you mean, it just frustrates me to no end how our government turns their head on our servicemen but has open arms for every other nation that wants to send their trash here

yeah....I don't ask for help well at all but need a lot of it! The Minneapolis, MN VA MC is very good though so I'm at least thankful for that.

Thank you both, Brothers! I think of all service men and women, both serving and served and those still missing, everyday. I'd give a refugee some support, but not in front of our veterans. Call me an asshole, but that's just me.
