Looks like we joined IMGflip about the same time. You would understand the site by now. I am not saying it "don't happen",... but I have never observed a "Liberal" meme get trolled. And If I did,.. I would disagree with it as well. Trolls come in various forms.... one is to comment just to challenge and aggravgate a user because of political / religious differences of opinions. If I see a liberal religious / political meme I disagree with,.. I simply ignore it. If its funny,... even if it counters my own beliefs,... I understand the humor and will still upvote. I respect other opinions. Like minded users will comment,.. and understand like minded memes. It appeals to them. Why would someone be challenging,.. and comment negatively to opinions that don't agree with theirs? Why not ignore? I will trade ideas,.. not insults. when it goes to name calling and being an ass,.. I just ignore and leave. I will swap and comment ideas,... not rude comments. Its unnescessary,.. and basically childish. Wouldn't you agree?
