People today in America basically swear their fealty to a party, candidate, or president. But those candidates, presidents and parties are supposed to be the voice of the people, not what they think for themselves. If only people could realize that they have more control over the government than they think, our country could be greater. Donald Trump says "let's make America great again", but what he is doing is fooling people into joining his side because he gets all angry. He really shouldn't be a candidate, in fact no candidate for the 2016 presidential elections, republican or democrat, should be running. They have it all wrong. Instead of saying "elect me and I will do this" in an attempt to persuade (which basically all of them do) people to join their side, they should speak out for the people and what they truly want, not what the candidate themselves wants. Everyone is a pawn in this American chess game and the candidates are the players. Instead of treating us like cannon fodder, they should treat us like queens, bishops, knights, even kings. What I'm trying to say is that we have more power than a lowly pawn, or citizen, we have the power of America, but politicians have grown corrupt and have brainwashed Americans into thinking they are in control and you should vote for the better candidate. But we already have the best candidate! US! We are the best candidate for America. We know what we want, not some rich politician. We know what we should do with the world, not some "political expert". So screw them, I would never vote for those self-obsessed pea-brains even if I had to end the nazi regime again by voting for one. So, good meme, MidLifered, I congratulate you for opening up some eyes on the internet, if only the idea was more public.
