Wikipedia is currently humanity's greatest source of open knowledge. Google, Apple, Microsoft, and most tech companies dealing with knowledge utilize Wikipedia's data. It's far from a perfect encyclopedia, but its absence would be felt in a bad way by the entire world.

They have my vote.

it's not open if they do not allow edits because their limited knowledge doesn't expand to smaller local communities...they see themselves as some kind of entity when in truth most of their moderators are guys that either are in mind numbing jobs or haven't had sex in decades. The fact that there are websites set up just to troll these guys speaks volumes...they are like the LAPD used to be...beat up citizens and then all gang up to keep the person down. They disgust me.

Donating to wikipedia is like donating to pbs it's the same harassment.

Wikipedia's one founder Larry Sanger, a Dino (democrat in name only), left the project after Jimmy Wales official became a observer in the ISO's steering committee.

I would donate if the wiki moderators weren't such a$$holes about edits...who are they to decide notable people...do you have any idea how many notable people they exclude...I know of many Canadian musical artists who have been denied notability simply because they are not as well known as Bieber or Shania Twain.
