The old Star trek is good. I don't like any others. I like a couple of the movies, but that's it.

I've watched all the Star Trek series...except Voyager, never really got into that one. As well as every Star Wars movie there is...will be front and center for The Force Awakens as well...doesn't matter to me who makes, it as long as they dazzle me with special effects, I won't be too disappointed...That opinion may change after I see it...we'll just have to see.

It can't be worse than the last three. But who knows for sure until it comes out.

It's a common misconception that Disney is making the new Star Wars movies, but luckily they only own the franchise, while Lucasfilm is still the company making the films. Even though George Lucas isn't really involved with the filmmaking process per se, he pretty much handpicked the people who are running Lucasfilm and making Episode 7. Still, I'm a little nervous about how The Force Awakens will turn out without George directing it, or at least on the set like he was with empire and jedi. I just hope it will be entertaining and original.

"Easy, dazzle them with Special Effects so they are too dazzled to realize what the actors are saying. It also doubles as a cover for a bad plot and actors. Its a triple win!"

Word. Despite being a huge Star Wars fan myself, I've actually seen every Star Trek episode of every series and all the movies lol. Most trek is pretty good.

Hey, it was great up until Disney got their mousy mitts on it. :l

Star Wars was always my favorite. And I always hated Disney. When I saw that my favorite franchise was bought by the one I loathed most, it ruined it. And to add insult to injury, when I heard that TFA wasn't using the EU, I just wanted Disney to die.

TFA is going to suck for more than that though. When you guys see how much it just copies the OT and fills in the gaps with EU amalgams and PC topical issues like race/gender and how little actual original story telling and cinematography is in it, you will all share in the collective sigh at the Star Wars' death rattle. :l

Mmh Hmm, I can guarantee you it's gonna be a sob story about how transgender/homosexuals were persecuted en masse up until recently, and it'll be all about the fight for equality, or something around those lines, with a couple of new-age stormtroopers and badly aimed shots.

Well, Star Trek is more believable with the exception of time travel(I'm with the Vulcan High Command on that one). Star Trek also doesn't merchandise the crap out of it's stuff like Star Wars. But mainly, it's just the fact that Disney owns it now. People can fool themselves into thinking Disney is a harmless company that's just trying to "entertain" children, but Disney is part of the problem with our society right now. Same with FOX and a lot of other channels. :l
