Putting on the Ritz, it's a song. An old one. :-) It is referring to, I think, the Ritz Carlton hotels. They were the epitome of wealth and swank and being well to do lol People would say things like "Where do you think you are, the Ritz Carlton?" or "Well, it ain't the Ritz but it will do". You can youtube the song Putting on the Ritz. There is one from way back and one from the 80s. There is also a scene in Young Frankenstein where the Monster and Dr. sing Putting on the Ritz which is legend :-D
