Let alone a superhero...

It seems that everyone is a hero for something these days. Unfortunately, it's so overused! 9/11 those people who charged the cabin and brought the plane down and knew they weren't going to make it, those were heroes! Of course the people involved in the towers and the Pentagon. It's a shame it's been so abused!

I very much agree! Yes, it's terrible to have to fight a disease, but self-preservation is not heroic; it's instinctual. Being a mailman in the military in Washington, D.C. is not heroic. Despite the overuse and over-application of the word, very few people are heroes!

I wholeheartedly agree with you! My Dad always said "You want praise for doing your job? You're supposed to do that!" You know!! We're both definitely on the same page!! :)

Yes, agreed! Your supposed to breath to live, so why do some need praised or called hero for you or your body doing it's job? Look at the culture though, some people believe that to become a Rock Star, you have to sing in front of Simon Cowell! No, you work crappie jobs and practice, practice practice! :)
