I've been at and around 30,000 points and that's tough enough. Lol!

Honestly, I think a lot of it is the fact that l will go to a person's page and up vote a lot of their stuff just because... part time upvote fairy you might say... a lot of them pay me back...and having a string of page one memes isn't hurting either... it can't last.

I had a time where I had a few memes go to front page, and I felt like I could just publish anything and get there, but of course it didn't last. Published a lot of custom memes that were hard work to go unnoticed, and finally got back with an "old school" Bad Luck Brian meme. That's why I tell people to just have fun on ImgFlip, if you concerned too much about points and likes, you will have a bad time ;)

All I do is try to make people laugh with my memes...the imgflip community is doing the rest...I'm not gonna complain...just enjoying it while it lasts...l do my best to try and not use reposts...but it has happened a couple of times.

Also contributing by commenting to other people's memes will help your own memes get noticed. But if it's just a lame comment it will not help much. Sometimes I'm too busy to participate much, and that's just how it goes. Not that you can't have a popular meme without contributing, but it's less likely. Posting at 2am probably won't help either.

I do comment a lot, that's for sure...people seem to like them...I don't comment nearly as much as Socrates and EvilmandoEvil do, but I am a close 3rd...but I think having that dream with Bad Luck Brian in it was a wake up call...LOL

since I'm fairly new to this and haven't had a lot of comments, it's pretty cool when you see one pop up and someone is being positive. Thanks to those of you who do.

I've only been here since Aug. 26th and until last week, I was at 30k-40k points then when Raydog came in it just went so fast I'm all of the sudden @ 175, 000 pts. #37 of the top #100. I don't know how I got here that fast? I was struggling forever it felt like! You pushed me over the 100,000 Mark, I'm almost ready to do that again!!

The only guess I would have is that the user went back and deleted all comments and submissions? (It may not affect the creation total.)
