Don't get me wrong I appreciate seeing upvotes, but it's not ideal from the point of view of the upvoting angel.

Normally you can just upvote good memes, and scroll past ones you don't like as much, but if you're upvoting everything halfway decent just to counteract the downvote fairy, then your upvote doesn't feel like it really counts for anything.

So eventually you feel like you have to start downvoting memes you don't like, instead of just scrolling past them, as you normally would have.

That's true but form the point of view of a rookie,upvote angels are heroes... I mean it is just really sad when you've take time to make a meme to see got stuck in 'submitted' because of downvote fairies...

I feel the same way, and I myself am a rookie so I just give upvote to those that I think are good and I hardly ever give downvotes unless it's to somebody who doesn't need it and if it something I kinda take offence to.
