Well, I have two questions.
First, I thought we'd settled this. Why do you feel the need to continue this? Really, I'd like to know what the big deal is.
And second, I'm supportive of an anti suicide meme because it wasn't made in humor, and while normally serious memes on a humor site shouldn't be allowed, this was an issue where pretty much everyone sombered up, you know what I mean? It's pretty much impossible to joke about someone's life being taken away. And as for the downvoters, yeah yeah, they're everywhere. I just was curious about why they felt the need to do it.
But racism and sexism, well, I get that they ARE issues, of course, but... okay, it makes sense in real life, but it just doesn't sound right trying to say it over the web, but here goes. They can be made a bit lighter depending on the circumstances. Take, for example, feminism. Yes, we should have equal rights, but there's a difference between equality and feminism. Feminism pushes it to where there's an imbalance on the other end of the spectrum, leaving it open for humor and exaggeration. I'm all for equality.
And racism, again, I know it's an issue in the world today, but seriously, things like the black bear complaining that the polar bear got better treatment, etc etc, now that's funny. Making a gif of some 50s cartoon with a bunch of black people chowing down on watermelons, not so much.
So there IS a difference. Hope that cleared things up a little.
