yes, but you mean investment by having babies? couples can choose not to have babies. there are already regular couples who take advantage of benefits while gay couples use it for usefulness. Like mentioned before, adopting is a lot more helpful technically then making babies because there are billions of children with no homes because straight couples have a choise of no kids, kids, or adoption, and most likely go with the first two. Yes I can see gay couples taking advantage of the financial stuff but what about the ones who do not? Also, do any of you see the divorce rate these days?? gay couples from hat ive heard are less likely to have those issues so why not allow them into society without shunning them?

I didn't say anything about shunning. The law is not based on logic or morality; it's typically based on results. The prescribed behaviors of the government contract are intended to incentivize having children. I agree that there are a lot of gays who would be glad to adopt--- just as there are also plenty of selfish ones who'll pay a surrogate (and yes, I am very anti-breeding with so many orphans in the world). I agree with your point on adoption in that adopted children are better off in almost any home than without one, and child adoption definitely lowers the crime rate similarly to how Rowe vs. Wade lowered the crime rate (making unwanted children wanted vs. preventing unwanted children). All I'm saying is that there are reasons for how marriage was set up before (which by the way, I'm 100% against all marriage). As far as gay marriage being to society's overall benefit, however, the only real way to know is to test it, so that being said, I'm not against gay marriage at all... objectively. Gay and bi men constitute half of HIV infections in spite of being a minority-- that says something negative about gay subculture and the lack of using protection, which might translate to adopted children taking up bad values---- however, I don't think the gays who wish to marry fit the irresponsible subculture profile. Only time and experimentation will tell whether the overall outcome of this on society is good. We shall see. You need to fact check your number by the way.... billions of homeless children? There are only 7 billion people on the planet, and I do not think 2/7 children worldwide are homeless. As it stands, the total number of orphans worldwide is about 250,000,000--- which yes, is still way too high, and people who leave kids to rot in the shelter because they "don't have their eyes" are demented in my opinion.

Actually they do. Thats just what the rest of your fellow church goers want you to think. This "bible" and "god" gives you comfort. When something goes bad, who do you go to? When something goes good, who do you thank? God of course. What if I said he may not exist? Maybe the universe formed without this god. Maybe he was just made up so kings in ancient times could control people. But people who "beleive in god" tend to be the biggest narcissistic hypocrites. Not all the time, but, for example, the same ones that shop at the grocery that I work for that go to church on sunday and I would think "learned more from the word of god" and have a "jesus fish" bumper sticker are the same ones shoving carts at me from long distance putting other poeples cars in danger. You know being a Christian does not mean believing in God, it means being like him and "born again of spirit". I mean would God speed across human crossing, or would he shove carts at you indangering others cars? Probably not. Also the book proverbs is full of wisdom, though being a not Christian you would disagree with some of it. I've had a dream where God came to me in, and what happned in the dream affected me in my waking state as well so I know it was real. I've also had a vision after praying and heard God speak to me, that's when I really believed in God. There is a lot of delusionan in the world, it says satan is the deceiver of the whole world. And this is the reason we're in such a poor state and people push shopping carts at you from a long distance, and other things you complaind about. You see gods love is unconditional, and desiers to know us, forgive us, and make us perfect. He loves you personally, and wants to know you so have faith :)

God's love is not unconditional if you don't believe in him you go to hell, that is a condition, if you don't christen your baby and it dies in infancy it goes to hell, that is 2 conditions given.

And the whole babies going to hell is catholic not Christian, the Catholics have been decived and are not Christian. I work at a grocery as a bagger/cart collector/janitor and its funny how the same people who just came from church or have a "jesus is life" or "God is great" bumper sticker are the same people shoving carts at me from long distance (putting other cars in danger of being hit because they are too lazy and rude to actually walk up to me and hand it). They also speed as fast as they can almost running over me and everyone else nearby including elderly and small children that really cant walk fast enough for their quota. I don't know who these crazy narcissists who are almost running over the elderly are, but they are no more Christian than a fire is cold. It's called the cool down effect, well that's the simple name for it I don't remember the more complex one. So what I'm saying is you get used to it. Like here's another example if we had the raunchy stuff on TV today people 40 years ago would have flipped, but we have been desensitized, and programmed to think in-normal is normal. It says satan is the deceiver of the whole world. This trick I just explained is what he used to make us think sin is normal. It says in the end times people will love evil and hate good. And the reason we do evil is because it is a temporary fix to replace the void in our lives ment for God. And you mentioned religion being used for minuplation, and yes it has been but it was the work of satan. Satan will tell you anything you want to hear so that you will lead into destruction such as "gay rights" but God will tell you the truth even if you don't want to hear it so that you inherit eternal life, because he loves you in a very special way.

I have reasons to believe the Bible is true, but I doubt they would persuade you. I don't think you've earned the right to say you know better morals than what the Bible has. I understand a little bit more about your point of view, but I don't understand why you think it's a good idea to go beyond thinking in bible terms. The Bible is God's rule to humans for how to live.

Honestly liberals are correct in some ways, and republicans are correct in some ways. Being a Christian myself I'm kind of in between, but we are supposed to be a Christian nation. And a lot of Christians do need to be more Christ like, although denying your self and being like God can be very dificult and tough at times. Also I love to give to the poor knowing their suffering, and how your small effort can make a huge difference for them.

Republican and Democratic parties are different today. Things have shifted and in most cases reversed. If you do any research on current events you would see this. Both political parties have evolved. Ask anyone with a conferderate flag if they vote democratic, you'll get your answer.

I have relatives in the south who are republican confederate flag wavers whose friends and neighbors are just like them. I'm not some ignorant liberal who bases their opinion on what people tell me. I look at the world through my own eyes. I also read about the world around me through various forms of media. Whenever it's online the people who are preaching the gospel and calling the president a ni&&er are always republicans. I work with people who talk shit about our black, latino, and middle eastern coworkers and the ones talking shit are republican. These are facts. Based on these facts my opinion is formed.
