You make it seem like the cops are horrible people who should not exist. Without cops, you, me, probably all of us would be dead by now. You complain about cops "killing innocent people," but your just too ignorant to look at the facts: 90% of these cops, the people that protect us, do their job. They help us. And if you call me stupid for saying that, you should go look into the mirror, because I'm not the stupid one here.

I think many cops just aren't trained to handle some things, which is why you hear many of these stories. Cops are trained to deal with dangerous people, so when someone calls 9-1-1 for something that isn't a very dangerous situation, things can happen. Have you read about stories of cops handling mentally ill or disabled people? It's like most of the time they don't understand. Sure, there are times when there is no excuse, where all you can say is, "You have a taser, do't you?!" But many times, it's a matter of an unusual problem clashing with the traditional ideas of using brute force as needed.

It's true that there is some correlation between race and things like, for example, frequency of arrest. However, sometimes it's not the police's fault.
We can go on all day pointing fingers, but that doesn't help anyone. Same logic with the Baltimore riots. You can go burn half the buildings in Baltimore, but what good will that do?

people are angry for that same exact reason bro. they're scared that their voices aren't being heard and i can totally relate to that helpless feeling that no one is going to do shit to help you...it's true that it doesn't solve anything but it's better than being quiet and acting like nothing is wrong

I'm not saying we should all sit around and twiddle our thumbs while people become vctims of meaningless violence. But I do believe that fighting fire with fire just creates more fire. Does it look like these riots are solving anything? Are any people being helped because their homes and businesses are being destroyed?

99% of the time, the only way to really make a change through protest is peaceful protest. Look at Martin Luther King Jr, for example. Look at the change he made! And he certainly didn't run around burning everything.

bruh, the majority of the protests have been peaceful. the media is creating hype by highlighting all the violent parts, but even obama has spoken out against the rioting, and i dont know why people fabricate that obama hasn't been doing his job right in this situation

the non-violent people are trying to figure that out...did you hear how the biggest gangs in baltimore are working together to try to fix this? I know it sounds bad when i say gang but gangs actually help communities around them, because they can provide a network of support for individuals and actually keep them off the streets...they're gonna try to work it out. I'm just saying: People will only complain when a black person is involved. White people, even innocent ones, will get sentenced. Although blacks are more commonly arrested, all races can get put into court for something they didn't do. I suggest that people stop rioting about how black people need to stop being evicted, and at least look around about non-black people who are there for no reason.
