As if America is the only country in the world. First, it's a contenent. Second, too many in the US actually thinks American exceptionalism is a truth.

"America" is commonly used to refer to the U.S.A.
America is pretty exceptional.

Unless you put north or south before America then it is a country. He never said it's the only country in the world he just used it in an example.
