No. The laws are very clear on this. You can't assault someone with a 2 ton automobile or a 9mm pistol. That's assault with a deadly weapon in most states. And if you're killed when assaulting someone with a deadly weapon that's legal self defense in most states except for a handful that require you to flee when assaulted (New York being one).
