Kennedy Center says Trump's name must be added to avoid bankruptcy

So why is he insisting on putting his name on it? It's a memorial to JFK. Not Drumpf.

But Trump didn't pay for it. It was around long before he even thought of entering politics.

He’s offering to pay to keep it running.

If he really cared about keeping it running, he wouldn't insist on attaching his name to it.

He wants to keep it running with his name on the building. He doesn’t want his name on an abandoned building.

His name has absolutely no business being on the building.

Someone who isn’t so egotistical needs to foot the bill to keep the center running.

The Kennedy Center isn't some damn sports arena. It's a living memorial to JFK, nobody else.

Well, it’s not like Trump wants to replace Kennedy’s name with his own. Last I read, a judge blocked adding “renovated and restored by Donald J. Trump” added below the sign, claiming it violates the 1964 law that changed the center’s name from its original name. The law says the center would be the sole official living national memorial to Kennedy in the DC area. That means no other memorial to Kennedy. It doesn’t mean only Kennedy’s name can be on its signage.

Nope. But I’m sure if it was a beloved Democrat, such as Obama, offering to pay in exchange for adding their name to signage, there would be little if any push back from the left.

You don't know that he hasn't. Not everybody is an egotistical braggart like Trump.

If Obama had offered to pay for the Kennedy center it would be front page news.
