Russia isn't communist anymore even though the economy is still suffering from the effects of communism, the USSR ended in 1991. Russia may have been economically far-left at one point but socially they are far-right as a Christian theocracy. Russia has a "gay-propaganda" law banning pride parades and LGBTQ+ symbolism in public so that isn't in any way leftist. Putin has also made a law banning "childless propaganda" banning anything that promotes a child-free lifestyle for he wants to push people to conform to the traditional family and get married and have children. Russia is also well-known for being strict on immigration and cultural homogeny which is something that the right always praise them for.
