Exactly. Iran is taking advantage of American vacillation in executing the war the U.S. initiated.

It's been ongoing since 1979. They've been sponsoring the murder of Americans since then.

I hear you, but I would argue that the war against Iran, understood in conventional terms, began on Feb. 28, 2026. My concern is that Operation Epic Fury not turn into Operation Epic Flop. It would seem that if the U.S. were waging the war effectively, Iran wouldn't keep making new demands for ending the hostilities -- even if some demands (like reparations) are pure and simple propaganda.

No. It started 47 years ago. I lived through all of their shit and all the mealy mouthed politicians who never did anything about it while innocent people died.

Because we can't do what used to be done to an enemy country - attack/bomb the hell out of the enemy until they unconditionally surrendered or were next to becoming extinct.

There is no need (nor, of course, would it be right) to bomb Iran back to the Stone Age. Just keep the pressure on instead of making apocalyptic threats followed by air strike pauses and promises that we are close to a "deal" that Iran knows nothing about. During these breaks in the action, all we get is a new list of demands by Iran for ending the war. This is not a winning strategy.
