Still doesn't quite make sense to me. First of all Australia isn't exactly 3rd world child labor country, it's 1st world country that even has a better quality of life than Canada and the USA. Second of all, importing products all the way from Australia to Canada (one side of the world to the other) requires a lot more big expensive transportation in Jumbo jets and large ocean cargo ships as well as clearing customs into the country while a Canadian grocery store is usually even in the same province as very cattle farm it gets its beef from and getting the beef to the grocery store is only a little bit of a truck ride away from a farm that's a 2 hour drive from the city the grocery store is in, Alberta has a lot of beef farms. One clearly requires a lot more transportation logistics than the other, how does that justify a $24 steak imported from Australia while having an $80 local Canadian steak of the same weight? That simply does not add up.
