Let me clear something up for you... Scientists in the 1800's were extremely racist. It's how they were raised. So many early studies in the field of evolutionary biology were led by not so good people who had an agenda of trying to prove scientific racism. Darwin's "On the Origin of Species" was published before the American Civil War. No shit early scientist were using biology to be racist, it was the culture at the time.
