What you fail to mention (I'm sure purposely) is the bill was introduced by two Republicans and that the bill was passed soundly in Oklahoma's Senate and house of representatives.

Also, both issues are not even close to being similar. One is a forced marriage and the other is not. One is adults marrying children as young as 10 and the other is children marrying children. One is a death cult and the other is simply marriage done by more than just a religious/cult members.

The bill was passed because every single Democrat voted in favor of it. 36 Republicans voted against it, which means 36 Republicans in Oklahoma wanted to keep child marriage legal.
