There is no solution to homelessness. A former communist mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah (the city has been overrun with leftists and socialists) built apartment buildings specifically to help the homeless. The idea was that if they had a place to live it would lift their confidence and from there they would be able to get a job and support themselves. Those apartment buildings stood empty forever. I don't know what has happened to them now. But property values have skyrocketed all over Utah once Gavin Newsom started driving Californians out so I would imagine they are owned by a private investment company and rented to tenants. Because land is no longer cheap in Utah.
The homeless do not want to change their lives. They are mentally ill. It was either genetic or drug induced. Panhandling is much easier than accepting responsibility for yourself.
Now the Salt Lake police department, in defiance to the two socialist lesbian mayors that followed the communist mayor, have put up signs telling people to not give money to the homeless people. They use it for alcohol or drugs and then they end up being arrested for being intoxicated and all of that costs taxpayer dollars that the SLC police doesn't want to waste.
