Why because they are placed in special federal funded homes and forced to work till there medication turns them in a vegetable and they get placed in a nursing home? That's for the lucky ones in states that have a good social service system, but lookout if your in a poor. Funded state homelessness is the main deal if family is unwilling to help. So. I guess history repeats itself what do you do with people that need 24 7 care, or what do you do for the high functioning but still needs supervision adults. .
The answer is simple make sure the support programs, housing and community is well funded to help society thrive. I'm not calling anyone racist, I just know from my family history that I wouldn't want to force a innocent fetus to grow up into having cancer, or auto immune problems, extra bones, and life long genetic induced issues. Plus I would be a horrible parent.

We're happy to adopt but having our own kids is to much of a health risk. Did you know facilities cannot stop mentally challenged/ or disabled partners from having sexual relations, and they can provide profalactics but cannot intervene in the privacy of a couples relationship. Because special people have constitutional rights to. Should downs syndrome have babies?
