Messi had done the same exact thing as Balogun had done in a prior game which was to have stepped on the ankle of an opposing team member. Balogun was issued a red card while nothing happened to Messi. No red card, no nothing. Was it because Messi is one of the most popular soccer players in the world and FIFA fans will pay high prices for tickets to see him play in the next game? Was it the "white privilege" that liberals always cry about that Messi had and which resulted in Messi not getting penalized but the American player getting a red card? If Balogun was given a red card, Messi should have been given one for the same infraction. If Messi didn't get one, then neither should have Balogun. The result of Balogun's appeal was just, fair, and equal.
