It's not the US Taxpayers duty to fund AIDS research in other countries especially when you realize most USAID funds were kicked back to Demorhhoid politicians who are already millionaires.

Thank you for giving the data to back your argument. However, your chart only talks about HIV, which is more of a slow-moving crisis at this time. What about hunger?

The IFPRI reports:

"The WPF’s evidence from the central Sahel is unusually explicit. It reports that in Mali, where rations have been reduced due to funding shortages, the population facing crisis-level hunger has surged by 64% since 2023. In areas where full rations were maintained, the population facing crisis-level or worse hunger declined by 34%."

And, of course, the master serial killer on the continent is malaria, not HIV.

The accusation makes a weird assumption, that all aid was erased instead of being moved to the state department. Every department cut or shutdown that Doge advised (it didn't have the authority to decide. Employees mostly made a red checkmark next to it), has had basic services moved instead of cancelled, while ofc weeding out the extra. Some agencies worked as middlemen and weren't considered vital to the service.
The extra: One thing that has happened after the defunding of USAID's LGBTQIA2S programs, is that several African Nations have made homosexuality illegal in 2025. No obligations to the U.S no more, but the EU could've stepped in if it wanted to guess. The administration has emphasized how it'll stop trying to change cultures through institutions. African leaders and Golf Nations are happy about that brand new (old) way.
